Honestly I was so excited to try this place, trusting the many, many great reviews. I was let down! I wonder if it was just an off night? The cheese plate was okay...but 2 of the cheeses had barely any flavor (including a cheddar that may have been irish...no flavor). The best cheese was a very easy to find gouda (15$)! My husband and I both got shepherds pie and maybe it's just us...but we expect a shepherds pie to be juicy? have gravy? Some moisture under the potatoes with the meat but there was none. It was dry ground meat under dry mashed potatoes. The flavor of the meat was very good, but it was so dry!! The salad that comes with it was brutally sweet due to berries in it as well (15$ x2). After one beer and three dishes we walked out about 60 bucks lighter and not feeling like it was worth it at all.
The pros: ambiance. décor. bar. service. All great. I hope to come back and try something different!
