| - Many Sunday afternoons I have tried to book a blow at this location (simply because it is the closest to my home) only to be told that they are booked up. This, as it turns out, it is usually false. As it turns out, if I book online through their website, there are available slots galore. Lesson learned.
But this is not what earned them my two stars. For engagement photoshoot I wanted to have a nice, simple blow dry. I booked my appointment a week in advance, for Saturday morning at 9. Now, they normally open at 10 on Saturdays, but by request they will open earlier. The night before they were open until 7 p.m ( I know this because I was offered that slot initially). Friday afternoon, our photographer called us and said that Saturday they weather will be awful, and that we should move our photo shoot to Sunday. We agreed. I promptly called Blow at 5:30 to re-schedule my appointment for Sunday morning (I have fine, thin hair that only looks good for about 2 hours after a blow dry!). No one answered. I left a vm.
Saturday morning I woke up to the shrill of a trashy voice yelling at me that she did not get my cancellation, because they closed at 5:00 pm the night before (lie, they closed at 7). In her own words "well yah' kno what, Ima charge yah anywayz coz I got up an hour earlieh tuh come here, so yah!" and she hung up. Sure enough, my card was charged $50.
That being said, if you don't care much for customer service, their blows are quite good, they know what they are doing. I usually ask for volume, and volume I get. They move fast, and really seem like they know what they are doing.
