| - Horrible, horrible, horrible.
#1- Signed up for membership. Was quoted x amount and agreed. Asked for a copy of the group fitness schedule, was told to go online and get it. Well, I went online, and the membership price the same club location had was about $20/month cheaper then what I was sold & committed to. I returned to the club, asked them about it, they said they did not know about any such ad. I pulled it up on my phone, then they acted all surprised, like they had no idea this was going on. They said they'd change my rate but it took 2-3 months to actually reflect that change with payments. So started off with a sour taste in my mouth.
#2. Signed up on the premise, and promise, that I could keep a lock on a locker there. The operations manager signed me up under these conditions. And I get that this is not typical for this gym, this was an exception to their normal rule. Well, time after time their housekeeping kept cutting off my locks. I kept telling them what the operations manager had told me. He also told the front desk staff, but with the volume of turnover of staff, of course the message doesn't get passed on. After a second lock being cut off, housekeeping staff threw out my shampoo and conditioner, which was around $30/bottle. By this time, the operations manager was not working there anymore, and most people at the front desk were new also. No one knew anything about the initial deal I had made.
#3. Smoothie bar totally lost all my money on my account, twice. And did not rectify it. I know it's independently run from the main gym, but still, you work out, you want a smoothie, the experiences go together.
#4. Vibe you get there is one of younger people thinking they're peacocks, flaunting feathers and chests. Not a laid back environment.
#5. Locker room, although clean, offers zero amenities. You're lucky if you have stocked paper towels.
Do yourself a favor, spend a few extra dollars and save yourself from the merry-go-round of college-aged people who really don't care, who don't last 6 months at 1 location, and from a company that treats employees similar to walmart or McDonalds. Oh, and last thing. The music they play is their own "LA Fitness Radio" which is absolutely dreadful. Who wants to listen to whitney houston at the gym??
