| - Well what to do for a thousandth review... I guess I just keep going as I began, biking around to check out small locally owned businesses and different neighbourhoods in this crazy city I love.
Last night we biked out to Espace Public in Hochelaga, near Antidote and Acme, and a raft of other old school tavernes that range from divey to scary. Espace Public is neither. It's got a tiny patio out front on Ontario and then about 30 seats indoors. It's dark, warm and woody like most brew pubs, with a chalkboard menu showcasing a couple of delicious in house beers and a couple other local brew selections and some small tasteful tasty snacks. The hoppy sour wasn't my favourite but the raspberry sour was really great, and the list in general was well-balanced when I was there - cool sours, classics IPAs, stouts, a blonde - really something for everyone.
Super friendly cool staff, chill local crowd, slightly punk vibe making the brew pub less folksy and twee, less hipster and more appropriate to the surroundings. Really dug it and loved exploring this area a bit more in the light of the setting sun, with the end of summer in the air.
