| - I have been a loyal Toyota Corolla person since the day I graduated from Grad school. Its been close to 12 years now and have bought 2 Corolla's over this period of time from this dealership, which used to be Power Toyota Tempe. Have had good experiences in past when I made these purchases. I am in the market for a Corolla/Camry and had been talking to a Sales person/agent online. My timeline for this purchase is very rigid as I need the new car ASAP. I decided to visit the dealership with my colleague during our lunch hour at work, and when we went there, the person to whom I was speaking with basically walked by us and did not even recognize us as he was with a prior client. I had checked in with the front desk receptionist and she pointed out that the sales person basically walked in front of us without even mentioning us to wait as he was with another customer. We just left the place and informed the front desk about us being there. I decided to give the person a second chance based on the fact that he was working with an already present customer at that time. The next time I went to the dealership, I was actually greeted promptly and we were shown the corolla's and Camry's as requested. But when it was time to close the deal, there was a classic "bait and switch" move regarding the price. The Sales person initially quoted a price on a 2016 Camry which got us interested and when he went in to speak with his finance guys and came back, the number given to us was totally different. He could not even explain the difference and at this point, as I had my family and kids with me, we just decided to leave. But the weird part of this meeting was, the sales person did not even try to talk to us regarding the price difference and just wished us Good luck over trying to buy a new car from some place else. We just left the place disappointed and feeling kinda shoved out the door. Wasted an evening again i guess. The reason, I liked buying my cars at this dealership was my previous experiences, but I guess that was a different time and ownership. If it would have not been for this disappointment, we should have had our car yesterday. Hope the dealership treats their returning clients better.
