| - Hadn't been here in a long while because we usually go to Ohso and these two trips just reinforced why.
First time was for a late lunch on a Friday and the service was terrible. We got there around 1p and the place was half empty. Out of the three of us, two of us got our beers right away and the third never came. After we'd been sitting for about 20 minutes, we stopped another server and asked for the missing beer (our server was MIA). He came back with it and said our server was just putting in our food...after 20 minutes. After another 10-15 minutes we finally saw our server again and grabbed her to ask about our food. She played totally unaware that it was taking awhile, even though we're all sitting with empty beers because it had taken so long. When it finally arrived, it was good, not 45 minutes good, but good.
The second attempt was this past Friday evening and although the service was more prompt, the food was not good. We got there around 6p and had zero trouble getting a table. We ordered fries and spinach/artichoke dip and beers. Fries were soggy and the dip was only decent for about 5 minutes, until it cooled off and the thick layer of cheese on top turned into cement. Our server was better than lunch, but we were upstairs and when we were the last ones there, at 8:45p, she told us she was shutting down the upstairs and it was time for us to leave. I get that you want to get out of there, I was a server in college, but there's a right way and a wrong way and this wasn't cool. It's not like we're a bunch of loud party people keeping her there until midnight- we're preschool teachers having a couple of beers and chatting. And it's 8:45p.
Don't waste your time. Go to Ohso- food, beers, atmosphere, and service all much better.
