| - Forget going to Spring Mountain for great Korean food. I've been there and never found it. Now, this fairly new place in Henderson, on the corner of Green Valley and Sunset, has what I've been looking for. This is truly delicious Korean food that almost tastes as if you're eating a meal in a Korean family's home that has an excellent cook. The kalbi was cooked to perfection and came delivered on a hot iron plate sizzling hot. They served very generous portions that I had to take some home. The meat was juicy, cooked medium, and pretty thick. Everything else I ate was delicious and of high quality. I could tell the kimchi and other pickled vegetables were fresh. The Korean pancakes were also so good, along with cream chicken soup, that started the meal. Then, at the end, they served this rice type of drink, called Sikhye. This was something new to me, and I loved it. So the food was a huge plus, but the owners were so friendly that you felt very welcome there. The husband gave me a free bottle of water, and kept making sure if I if I needed refills on any of the food, which is unusual for a restaurant. This is just a mom-and-pop, husband-and-wife operation. He mentioned that when it's busy that some people get upset if the food takes longer than normal. However, this doesn't bother me because I understand it's a tiny operation and the quality of food that's cooked to order is worth the wait. The husband and I had a good conversation about his background and other things. He's a kind man (along with his wife who I didn't get to talk to much she was because she was busy cooking) and is so happy to have you as a customer to enjoy some Korean culture. I'll definitely be back to get my fix of Korean food.
