  • I went to polished with a girlfriend over the weekend for a gel manicure. When I called they were pretty busy and said it would be 30 min so we were expecting to wait a little. When we walked in they sat us down and we sat at the bar waiting for a technician for 20ish minutes, not bad considering. There were tons of customers drinking wine and beer so when I was offered a choice between soda or a water I was pretty shocked. (I'm 25) My friend and I were chatting with one of our technicians about our weekend and when she asked us how old we were I quickly realized that they thought we were in high school, which is why I was not offered wine like everyone else. Slightly disappointed, but I can get over it. My major problem however, is the fact that my nail technician gave me the quickest gel manicure I've ever had - barely saying two words to me the entire time I was trying to stay hopeful that it would last me at least 2 weeks. I'm on day 5 of having this gel manicure and it's peeling and lifting on almost every nail. I even had to clip off some of the lose edges because my nails are now getting caught in my hair.. This is my second experience trying out a polished nail bar and I've never been very happy with their service. Such a waste of $30 if it's only going to last 5 days.
