I tried out the fried chicken and sides to go.
Sides:
Coleslaw was good but it was a bit too sweet for my taste, I preferred it to be more tangy.
Collard greens: It was definitely cooked with something smoked, you can taste that---ham hock maybe. But it was also a tinge sweet. Never had greens sweet before. Not bad.
Mashed potatoes & Gravy: Potatoes were real and great--good buttery flavor. You don't need gravy for it, but together it was really good.
Cornbread: On point. Moist, good texture and perfect sweetness. Oddly enough, the coleslaw was sweeter than the cornbread.
Mac & Cheese: It was okay. I preferred a little something crunchy just for texture.
Chicken:
My review of the chicken might have been better if I ate there. Since I took it to go, the breading may have lost a little crispiness. It was definitely good. The skin was crispy, good seasoning and the meat was moist.
Great flavor for all items and definitely a place to try out.
