| - Okay so, everyone knows that I'm a Hyatt kind of guy. That stated, having just checked out of my suite there I was ......taken aback to find that my family, who like myself, were visiting Phoenix for a last minute emergency..... decided to stay here for the night.
Walking into the lobby, I was greeted immediately, which is more than I can say elsewhere. The aroma of fresh food from the facility's continental breakfast was entrancing and with my parents as guest(s), I was still offered food by staff.
Definitely star worthy ^
The rooms.....won't be winning any awards anytime soon (I believe my sisters gave them a 3 out of 5 as the beds were just "Mehhh....") and the amenities weren't brag worthy but all in all, the place definitely serves its purpose.
I'm actually sitting on the pulled out sofa bed as I compose this and I feel the onset of hemorrhoids approaching.
And while I can't say that I'd personally stay here (call it the bou-gie in me) but I wouldn't dare go so far as to knock it off the list.
Parking is accessible (and free), the staff is nothing short of friendly and the rates are affordable. What's not to like???
O yea.
Physically getting to the joint. While the hotel can be viewed from the freeway without any form of obstructions, getting to this place will induce a definite migraine.
I'd really like to know what genius elected to place a chain of hotels feet apart from one another within an industrial/commercial area that already encompasses a multitude of dead end streets and parking lots WITHOUT any form of decent signage?
For those reading, this chain of hotels are paralleled by a one way traveling "Frontage Road", i.e.: bypassing either hotel (as you're guaranteed to do) will result in you driving somewhat out of your way just to get back on track.
No better way to get to know the city.
