Having not been to this unique part of the Las Vegas tourist attraction, my friend and I decided to embark on "The Deuce" and pay a visit to what I expected would be a step back in time to the 1950s and 60s. While the old names are still preset the experience is pretty meh. All of the casinos have modernized with the times and there appeared to be few blasts from the pasts. Keep in mind most of them have low ceilings so if you're sensitive to smoke it may be bothersome. What I honestly didn't enjoy which came with the whole area were the street performers and hawkers, some of which were rather gross. The obese woman with her belly and breasts (complete with duct tape pasties) and the leather skinned man in a G-string could have been done without. There are also a ton of panhandlers, many of whom are unoriginal and basically just outright (drunkenly) as for money while holding a beer.
The visuals are nice at night as is the live music but that's about it. It's free to see but I'd leave the kids under 14 out of it should you choose to go at night.
