BBQ is funny, it is such a regional food, every state you travel to will do their BBQ a little different.
In my very humble opinion THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE!!!!! Right down to the decor, it took me back to growing up in a agricultural based town where we got together and had BBQ cook out in the back yard. Joe's Real BBQ transcends great BBQ to a great experience, it's as if they invite you into their own back yard where they have strung up lights and give you the freedom to throw around a football with your son while slurping down some of their homemade root beer (which is what you should get to drink). It is really some experience and floods my heart with fond memories of home.
They really smoke their meat, and it is not over-smoked as some places can do sometimes, but there is a beautiful pink smoke layer that you can see in the meat as you pull it apart to enjoy. That is something you cannot fake.
I was so excited when I first walked into Joe's that I seriously ordered a little bit of everything, and ate it all. Every one of their BBQ selections is great. If you like a well smoked BBQ meal, then this is the place for you!
