  • My girlfriends were leaving Vegas a day earlier than the rest of us. What did they choose as their last meal? Bacchanal! We came by on Friday, July 10th around 1:30pm. The line wasn't bad at all and we got to the front within 5-10 minutes. The lunch buffet is $39.99 with a 2 hour limit. Though I don't think they really enforce that as we were there until almost 5:30pm. The girls took part in the $22 all you care to drink mimosas, while the guys did the beer version. You also get to keep the glass as a souvenir. With the mimosas you can control the amount of juice, so if you just want sparkling wine, they will give it to you sans OJ. We all hit the seafood first and loaded up on shrimp, oyster shooters, ceviches, crawfish, clams, mussels and crab claws. I actually started feeling full after we hit the seafood station, but I continued with the gluttony and hit the American food section. Grabbed some meat from the carving station, soups, salads, side dishes, etc. Now I'm hitting a food wall, but I decided to barge through it by hitting the Asian section. Loaded up on dim dum, roast pork, duck, etc. I skipped the sushi as it was mostly rolls. One of my friends got the ramen which looked delish, but I skipped it as I was trying to make room for the oysters and crab legs that just came out. So yes, I ventured back to the seafood section. Clarified butter and crab legs? Yes please! I know there were many more plates than what I mentioned and took pix of, but I was too busy eating and thinking about what to eat next to remember to take pictures of everything. Though all the dessert I consumed was photographed. I just made myself a little dessert platter and got some gelato. I loved the matcha covered strawberry. The brulee and flan were also pretty good. Of the gelato flavors, I really only liked the black sesame. The raspberry hibiscus was too sweet and the green tea tasted like soap. $62 for four hours of eating and drinking. All I can say is I've never felt that full in my life! I really wish I could have had even more, but there was no way I could stomach anything else. Even I got to a point where I could drink anymore. I'm not really a buffet person in general since I hate feeling super full, but one of the better places to do it is at Bacchanal.
