Typically, I try not to base my reviews on one experience. However, since it's likely that I will not frequent this location, here's my first impression...
A friend and I dropped in on a Friday night after dinner to have a drink. The bar was packed, full of men. Not a woman in sight. Not that it matters much but I thought it a bit odd. I later learned that this particular night was a gathering for males. We were informed by a new friend/patron who felt inclined to tell us. I didn't think much of it. Nonetheless, everyone was friendly and the bartender/owner was very attentive.
Pros:
- The bartender/owner was on it. The place was packed and he was working alone. He handled tabs and orders like a champ.
- Good music selection
- Bartender makes a mean Moscow mule. They actually offer a selection of mule specials on Fridays.
- Small and quaint...if that's your thing, you'll like this place.
Cons:
- Very small. If it's a full night expect to be bumped and shoved. Even if you are sitting at the bar.
Overall, it was a decent experience. It is not a place that I would frequent often, mainly because there are other options close by that I prefer. Simply a matter of preference, and not in any way related to the service.
