  • Popped into Canada Computers to see what they had available as far as reasonably priced notebook computers were concerned, and was VERY disappointed. Prices were very high compared to Best Buy and even Walmart! Got the hard sales pitch from the "help desk" staffer, trying to sell me a "refurbished" AMD A9 laptop for $379, but then it turns out most of the units weren't what everyone else calls refurbished, they were in fact units that had been leased for between 3 and 5 YEARS. Plus they would only guarantee that the batteries we're good for 30 minutes run time! Sorry CC, I call that USED, not refurbished! Be aware, be careful, they make no distinction between a unit that is what most stores call refurbished - essentially brand new but has been returned to a big box store - versus a USED computer that has been LEASED for between three and five years! Absolutely ridiculous!
