| - Really, really liked this place. We came in on a Friday afternoon. After being temporarily distracted by the spectacle that is the Heart Attack Grill next door (didn't eat, just gawked), we found the brewery. It has a great atmosphere - very open and modern with TVs that they are happy to change to your sporting event of choice. They have a menu of around 10 beers made in-house displayed on their chalkboard, plus a few extra guest pours.
We went with 2 samplers of their 8 standard pours. There honestly wasn't a bad beer in the bunch, we liked them all. This coming from a pair of Pacific Northwest beer snobs! After we finished, we decided to try their Belgian quads - one aged in the barrel, one not. It was the perfect way to end our tasting because they were DELICIOUS. The two guys that were serving us were super knowledgeable, and told us to let the quads warm up a tiny bit before tasting. Their chiller has to be set at a certain temp to chill all the beers, but the quad is best enjoyed a few degrees warmer. We did that, and they were right. The flavors really opened up, and with the second beer you could really taste the bourbon barrel on the nose. So good! We were very tempted to go for seconds (thirds?) but decided at 12% that may not be a good idea.
You could really tell how passionate the owners/employees are about their craft here. They are friendly and really know their stuff. In any other city I think this place would've absolutely taken off already, but Las Vegas is a challenging environment to peddle alcohol without gambling. Really hoping this place does well, and maybe even starts distributing one day. Go give them a visit!!
