  • Peace N Hominy is on the top of my list of places to take out-of-town guests even though I can't say it has the best BBQ within a 20 miles radius. The employees are friendly, food tasty, decorations cute and welcoming -- all in all a quintessential southern joint in a nice small town that will impress your out-of-town guests (especially those from bigger cities). I am not a big meat eater, so I will skip discussing the Qs. I love their grits (not instant) but don't care for the sweet hush puppies too much. Actually I like their weekend brunch most as they offer some unique and interesting takes on brunch food, centering around BBQ.
