  • Advance Home Services tried to rip me off. There service Technician Javier came to my house after a request from my warranty Campany, American Home Shield (AHS). Javier tried to charge me an additional $815 to install the same model water heater that was being replaced. He stated that the fees on top of what AHS was paying them included code modifications, permits and some expansion tank totalling $815. This included $295 for a permit. After making some calls; I found that the permit cost $41 and the expansion tank actually came with the water heater, and that no codes were updated seeing that my home had been built less that 10 yes ago.
