We were so excited for months to come see peppa pig at the smith center !! It was also our first time at the smith center! Unfortunately we had an upsetting experience from the start. I called before buying tickets to know how many I needed for myself, husband, 3 year old and 20 Month. I was told that my 20 month old could not come as no one under the age of 3 was allowed In the theatre and that everyone needed a ticket no matter age. I asked several times if they were positive since it is a peppa pig show specifically for young kids .. they assured me these were the rules. Well apparently rules were changed with no notification. From the moment we parked we saw babies all around and we had left our daughter home we would have loved peppa pig. We upgraded our tickets as we did not realize how high up the balcony actually was, it is soooo high that I was immediately dizzy. We were then told we only need to buy 2 orchestra tickets as my son didn't need one and he could sit on our lap. Again we had already wasted money on buying him a ticket when it wasn't necessary?? We were told the rules were changed again. I spoke with 2 managers about these upsetting matters and they just repeated that they apparently changed the rules At 11 am this morning and unfortunately we're not helpful. We now has 3 useless tickets, a daughter left home and a very agitated mother. We spent another 105 to sit closer and then were left with a underwhelming show and overall experience. Unfortunately our first time at the smith center might be our last.
Update to review : management did call me and explained the situation was very overwhelming for them as well. He told me honestly that many people chose to ignore the rule and they didn't know what to do about it. They couldn't refuse that many people at the door. It was also their first big kids show. They offered me free tickets to try their jazz Cabernet. They are a non profit organization which I did not know so they couldn't refund me my Tickets. Adrian I spoke to was very very honest about the situation and I really appreciated that. I will give them a second chance but unfortunately the situation wasn't handled right that day. He also agreed to that.
