So glad that Uber is now in Vegas! Not only that, but they pick up and drop off at the airport too! I hate how Las Vegas taxi drivers always take the longer, more roundabout and expensive way to and from the airport unless you explicitly tell them not to. You don't have to go through that with Uber!
Almost all the drivers we rode with on our most recent trip were friendly and chatty with smoke-free cars. A couple of them had water and mints to offer us - nice! One driver even got out of the car to open our door and let us out - talk about customer service! Rates were very reasonable as well, and we never had to wait too long to get picked up. (Average wait time was 5 minutes.) There weren't any crazy fees added on, and it was definitely convenient charging rides to the app. (Sample charge: from Four Seasons to Bellagio was about $9)
Pick up locations are still being sorted out and are subject to change, but here are some locations that I know of:
Airport: Valet parking (in Terminal 3 it's Level V of the parking garage)
Palazzo: In the front of their main valet/taxi drop-off area (no longer in their parking garage)
Caesars: Colosseum valet
Aria: Valet in the back next to Vdara
Bellagio: In the front of their main valet area
MGM: Main valet/taxi (in the farthest left lane)
*Almost all of these locations have designated drop off/pick up areas with ride share stands to help direct you where to go.
The drivers are pretty good about contacting you when getting picked up at a hotel to discuss the specific pick-up location. One was great about not giving up on finding us when we had mistakenly gone to the wrong valet area.
I'm a newer Uber rider, and I'm so glad that Uber arrived in Vegas shortly after I started using the app. Can't beat good service, convenience, and very reasonable rates!
