| - I came here on a Saturday night to meet up with some friends. The cover charge was $5, so it wasn't too bad. Overall, it was very crowded, but fun! There was a band playing well-known covers, and they continually invited a member of the audience to come up and sing with them. There are two bars, the first at the top, and the second main one near the stage.
The crowd was a nice mix of late-20s/early-30s and older. I haven't seen too many younger people here. On the main floor, there were several tables and chairs, and plenty of seats at the main bar. Of course, they were all taken on this night.
The bartenders at the main bar were the real superstars that night. There were at least three bartenders attending to 10-20 people at any given time. I have never seen bartenders move so fast with accuracy and precision. I didn't even mind waiting 5-10 minutes to order my drinks because I knew they were working very hard. When I got my drinks, they were pretty good. I especially liked the St. Germain Lemonade, which is a cocktail containing Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka, St. Germain, strawberry puree. I saw several people getting buckets and tall bones of cocktails. I heard that people keep the buckets for them to throw up in on their ride home or at home...
The men's restroom was interesting. There were people clustering at the entrance to the restroom, so I thought it was packed and stood in line. After a minute, I realized that there wasn't an actual line; instead, people were watching a paper chess game. There was a chess game. In the men's restroom. I can't imagine how people could be lucid enough to play a game of chess after having had multiple drinks. After doing my business, I saw that there multiple gum packets free for us to take. There was even a "restroom attendant" passing out paper towels, chatting with us, and participating in the chess matches. I thought those were interesting touches to an otherwise bland bar/club restroom experience.
I'd probably visit this place again with friends. While I loved the crowd, I'd like to try this place when it's not as busy.
