If you don't have the time to read the whole review then let me start with this: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
My girlfriend and I have decided to start traveling to local wineries and sampling what they have to offer. She has decided to make this her hobby and has thus started a blog.
This was the first winery (vineyard) we visited and let me just say that the following ones have a LOT to live up to. When we arrived around 1 on a Saturday afternoon, I expected the place to be busy but it was quite the opposite. There were only 4 or 5 other cars there and when we sat down we were the only ones at the bar. This made for fantastic, personal service. Laura, our bartender (is that what they are called?), was simply amazing. She was very knowledgeable and even more friendly. Gale, another bartender, was just as friendly.
After our tasting (of 10 wines!) we were asked if we would like a glass while we walked around the vineyard. I have never heard of a place that would allow you to give yourself a tour (they do offer guided tours on certain days but I think you may have to call ahead).
We purchased 2 different kinds of wine before we departed and we plan on attending at least one of their events they have planned and we also plan on going back for tastings as the seasons change.
Take a couple of hours and make the trip, you will NOT be disappointed!
