  • Until coming here almost a year ago, I'd never really been to an Apple Store during a weekday. Well, there was one time in Buffalo at Walden Galleria, but that didn't prepare me for this. The place was packed. Like, wall-to-wall, people shopping, pushing out carts of equipment, getting stuff repaired. I'd been here once before - when we originally bought the MacBook we were bringing in for service - and it was only slightly busier than this - but that was on a Saturday. Where did all these people come from, on a Wednesday? To the store's credit, we didn't have much time to figure that out. A scant few minutes after walking in, we had the attention of a staffer, who in short order took our info, confirmed out warranty status, and had the machine scheduled for repair. We were told to expect a call that evening, perhaps the next day, so off to Ikea for lunch. Up to 24 hours turned out to be more like 24 minutes, as in the midst of lunch I got a call saying the computer was ready for pickup. Went and grabbed it, and haven't had a problem since. The upshot: good service and the staff can handle crowds. We were similarly well taken care of when we bought the thing almost a year prior. Aside from that, standard Apple Store fare. And for those wondering: if you want to buy something, just ask someone who works there - they'll make sure you're taken care of.
