Perhaps a little biased because I'm seriously in love with chocolate. Very cool to see the bags and bags of beans and the old (yet still functioning) press/grinder. I also like that you can see into the gelato laboratory. I only wish it was a better kept secret, because every time I've been here it's been extremely crowded, long line-ups, nowhere to sit.
I've tried their truffles here - an extremely nice gift from a friend. They are definitely on the pricey side, but sometimes we all need to indulge. I was hoping I would have enough self-control to pace myself, but I devoured all 9 pieces in one sitting. Actually, I shared 2 of them, so I only scarfed down 7 of them. I generally like to share, but I kinda wish I hadn't. I think I could eat 50 truffles in one sitting and still not be sick of them.
The other fabulous item I have tried here is the spicy mayan hot chocolate. Fantastic! I've tried to make my own spicy hot chocolate at home and failed miserably - a little too spicy!!! This beverage is perfect on a cold day. I especially enjoy the spicy aftertaste - just enough kick to make it interesting, but not enough to choke you. The richness of the chocolate makes me want to drink litres and litres of this stuff.
I would love to spend more time in here browsing their other popular items, but I couldn't handle the crowds! I'll have to try again on a weekday.
I will also be back in the summer to try their gelato.
