Montreal has a few spots that rate 5 stars on countless reviews... This is one of them. Don't be afraid, visitor from afar, to venture out of your Old City comfort zone and into the strangest outback corner of Mile End /slash/ Laurier St West. Don't be alarmed by the nigh infinite line that turns the corner before you even get there; if you're really unlucky two corners. That must be one scorchingly hot day the, so just in case bring a bottle of water. Or two. And patiently enjoy the friendly wait of perhaps 15-20 minutes. This place is worth its boules in gold. We waited in line and got two orders each, devouring all creamy and rich delights right in front of the store, which conveniently has a few benches set up for your consuming comfort. Prepare to go where no ice cream has ever gone before: straight to the pleasure center of the neocortex, or whatever part of the brain that registers pure delight from experiencing the best chilled orgasmic tingle your tastebuds will ever pass through. A piece of advice to/from the newcomer: get the weekly special. And order whatever flavors have names of ingredients that you have never heard of. Unheard of!
