rev:text	Let me tell you something about The Fresh Market..... I was a little skeptical about this place. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It resides in the nearly abandoned Van Aken shopping center. But it's super close to home. I drive past everyday. So it's convenient. Where I live, I am surrounded by grocery stores. A food desert Shaker Hts most certainly is not. Within a 3.5 mile radius of me, there are 2 Whole Foods and 2 Heinen's. Farmer's Markets galore surround me multiple days of the week. But having this little gem even closer to be is definitely a convenience. Anyways, it's like an up-scale Trader Joes, but not as confined or crowded. And with less hippies. Dark wood floors, an open floor plan, dim lighting and classical music makes for a much more relaxing shopping trip than the stark white floors, intimidating isleways and flood lights as found at most big box grocery stores. Shopping here is relaxing. Fresh Market stocks just about everything an average grocer needs. The produce seemed fresh. There was a great beer section. A wide variety of coffee. Not a lot of local options though. You won't find Ohio City Pasta or Hatzler's milk here. But they do carry a lot of organic and artisanal products. Overall, there's more artisanal brands than chain brand items. For instance, you won't find many General Mills or Kellogg's cereals. I remember just 3 mainstream cereals. Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cheerios and maybe a Raisin Bran. The rest was Kashi or other quirky options. Overall, Fresh Market is a great fill-in place to supplement the rest of my shopping and since it's so damn close, I'm sure I'll become a regular.
