I can't believe sake so good is actually made here locally!
They do sell some of their sakes through select LCBO's but they have a great selection of various selections of sakes which they make in-house.
The place is really small but you can try any of their sakes at their bar -- try their sake flights at the bar. If you have friends who don't like sake, their sake cocktails will make them change their mind. They also have little Japanese rice cracker snacks which are great to cleanse your palate when tasting the various sakes.
I always pick up a good selection of sakes. Nama-nama, their signature sake, is an excellent go to sake. It's my favorite.
They also have small batch gravity fermented sakes which are numbered by batch and given their own flavor profiles. It's a great way to try something a little different.
My only gripe is that they do not have medium sized bottles. All their sakes come in 300mL bottles, and 1.8L for their more popular sakes. It will be nice if they have 750mL bottles, but the smaller bottles is a great way of taking home a few flavors at a time.
They also have sake tours twice a day on the weekends which ends in a sake tasting. At $15 it is good deal and great way to learn about this ancient craft, but it is recommended to book in advance.
Kanpai!
