Came here for the 3rd time. I want to like this place. I love Honey Salt. Andiron is even better. This place is...a little odd.
It starts with the entrance. Yes...the entrance.
They conveniently have a small parking lot behind the restaurant that is usually empty. But when you park there, you walk up to a set of glass double doors that certainly looks like the entrance...it's locked and there is a sign that says to enter thru the front. So you have to walk all the way to the front of the restaurant because that's where the hostess stands. Pretty lame if you ask me.
The menu is odd also. Nothing that makes you crave coming back. My son ordered buffalo wings with a side of sweet potato fries. He really enjoyed it.
I ordered the skirt steak which was okay. It was reasonably priced at $24. A decent cut of steak that was too tough. The chimichurri sauce wasn't very flavorful. The roasted cauliflower was really good and the steak fries were actually excellent.
Service was very good. The restaurant was pretty empty for a Saturday night. There are three male manager/owner types that walk around and check up on tables. I appreciate that...but sometimes too much checking on tables is uncomfortable.
So like I said...I want to like this restaurant, but when I make a list of where I'm going to eat out, this place is pretty low on the list.
