Update: After not hearing back from my multiple voice messages to the manager, I made one call to Scott Clark Toyota. Scott Clark agreed to provide me a loaner car as they wait for the back order. Things are finally getting resolved after 7 days without a car and towing fees. I plan to buy a Toyota from Scott Clark in 60 days.
Original Review:
The positive stars are for the sales side of the organization. The lost stars are on the service side. Our last three cars have been from Toyota and we have bought our last two cars without any issue from T&C. The sales process was better than normal and no issues came up. We only spent a few hours from start to finish buying our cars. They seemed honest and answered all our questions.
The service side has not been exceptional due to dealer service cost and wait time. My wife also refused to use them over our local Firestone because of how belittled she felt by those with whom she worked in service.
The current issue finally put me over the edge. We are less than 60 days away from buying our fourth Toyota when our Prius broke down. We were told that a part will take "weeks" to fix because it is on back order. Back orders happen. Not much a dealer can do about manufacturers parts. However, I am without a car now for "weeks" and they will not provide a loaner even though the issues is under warranty. I can not imagine how it is considered acceptable not to offer us a loaner when it is not our fault the car broke down, parts on back order and the car will not run. Maybe the decision not to offer us a loaner was made by someone who didn't understand our past and future car purchase in 60 days. Oh by the way my daughter is 15... Another car (used) will be purchased in a year.
Since we have never been impressed with the Services department, we will move to a non-Sonic dealer who may have superior services despite an added dealer service cost.
