I attended Firkin on Bay Street's Grand Opening Event yesterday and it was quite enjoyable. I met several friends/other people I knew there and it was already getting pretty packed when I arrived, which was only about 10 minutes after the Event started at 5:30 pm. The venue is quite spacious, extensively decorated and pretty conveniently located, not far from the subway. Due to it being their opening Event, for the most part II only had samples - both drinks and food - but a couple others in our group ordered nachos to share which were quite good and a very big portion.
I may be visiting one of the other Firkin locations in the suburbs for brunch or lunch soon and I've been to several other Firkin Pubs over the years, pretty much all of which are closer to downtown. I can't recall having had or witnessed any bad experiences at any of them and several are very conveniently located right on subway lines. I can therefore recommend visiting one, and they may be of particular interest to Tourists due to their convenience in getting to.
I'll likely be reviewing another location if/when I visit one soon, in which case I can provide a more thorough review in terms of the service, etc.
