I have been at this gym now for 2 weeks and I cannot say a bad thing about the place. While it may seem intimidating to begin jiu jitsu, owner/instructor Sim is a very welcoming and makes sure to pair you up with training partners that challenge you which also eases you into this close-knit community.
Classes are typically 1 hour where the first 30 minutes are for learning new techniques while the 2nd 30 minutes is for sparring. The schedule the gym provides has multiple classes throughout the day to fit anyone's schedule. The prices for a monthly membership are very reasonable. Everyone in the gym has been very friendly and just trying to improve their craft. The sparring is very competitive yet people aren't trying to injure their partners while finishing their submissions. The location has multiple black belts present who are very knowledgeable. Everyone at the gym is willing to help teach you along the way to get you better.
I would highly suggest joining cobra kai jiu jitsu!
