I was at Delysses as I want to pick up some pastry for my birthday. The decor is chic and elegant with minimalistic decorations. All the cakes and pastries were nicely display just like in a dessert boutique. I picked the tiramisu dome cake with rice crispy on the bottom and a mascarpone mousse on top with a mirror glaze and an impressive gold painted chocolate sphere. It was an impressive display of their artistic flair with different colour combinations. However, the bottom of the cake was not as impressive as it was a little flat and soggy. The espresso I had there was a little too acidic for my taste, I wish there is more of a slight bitter after taste with nutty aroma, but it is just my personal taste. I was not quite satsified with the overall taste of the cake even though the mousse was really well done. I wish they have a way to keep the bottom flaky as it would really make the cake taste so much better.
