| - So I've been to bubble tea places before and typically, they're all very similar. You get a magazine style menu with approximately 1 million options to choose from with even more variations with add-ins. I expected the Green Grotto in "downtown Markham" to be the same but unfortunately, the service and the food didn't live up to standard.
Service: We seated ourselves and did not receive any attention after we were given the menus. We had to continuously ask for our order to be taken, for the popcorn, for the bills etc. I mean certainly some people may appreciate being left alone so that's something to note. My drink, as advertised was a different price than what I was charged. When I asked them about it, they said I got the large instead, but the waitress never asked me what size I'd like.
Drinks: In a group of 5, we each had our own drink orders. 3/5 people were unsatisfied with their drinks. One of them had a missing add-in. When we went to reconfirm why they hadn't added it, they claimed they don't have that particular item in their store, yet they didn't say anything when we were ordering. Another friend ordered pearls in her drink and when it arrived, all the pearls were fused together in one giant clump!
All in all, there are better Green Grotto locations, would not recommend this one.
