What do you do when trying to come up with an original birthday party activity for your teenage daughter's sweet sixteenth party with her besties? You book a room at Live Room Escape!
Nevermind that even our limo driver cringed as she drove our precious cargo of 15 and 16 year old girls through the dregs of seedy Las Vegas, on Industrial Rd, passing the skankiest strip clubs along the way to this very hard to find location.
Forget that this place looks like somewhere you wouldn't even venture out to in broad daylight with armed body guards. Once inside, you still didn't know what to expect in this industrial type building that looks like it could moonlight for some sleazy activity.
Don't stare at the creepy movie costumes for the upcoming film, "Atelophobia" lest you have nightmares from it. Ignore the blood splatters all over the place and don't get nervous when they have you sign a waiver before entering the room.
Yeah, this is a good place to send your 15 and 16 year old girls for an hour...maybe to remind them to stay in school or risk ending up a nearby attraction later on.
A few calming breaths and spin of the wheel that determines your ambiguous fate later in the game, our girls bravely chose the "TRAP ROOM".
Without spoiling it for anyone, all I can say is we laughed our butts off watching the girls figure out clues & screaming while being scared. We got to watch them behind the desk through their live camera feed. It was close quarters up there and we really didn't appreciate the one guy who had Taco Bell farting the whole time (Gross! ) We bought a video of the experience but the audio quality was really bad so the owner is refunding our $27, a bit pricey for a thumb drive that probably costs $1 in bulk.
They offer other room experiences like the "Saw Room" where I hear they chain people down. That might be a good office team building experience to bring that annoying work colleague to.
I think we would like to see Live Room in a better location but the girls all had a great time and are still talking about coming back.
