| - The Surprise Aquatic Center is a nice decent community water fun center. The place overall seems to be very clean and organized based on swimming ability. Everyone I came in contact with during my 4 year old sons swimming lessons was very friendly, helpful, and most important of all attentive! They have plenty of free parking, and location wise, it's easy to get to from pretty much any point in Surprise. No matter if you are a resident of the city of Surprise or not, you can enjoy a day full of water fun, for just a few dollars a person. I will say the only real negative, is the center is starting to show some it's age. My guess is the park is about 10-12 years old as of 2015, and could use a bit of a refresh. I'm referring mostly to paint, landscaping, and seating areas around the pool and snack shop. If you take into consideration how bad off Surprise has been financially the past five-six years, the place is still a great community asset! If you live on the west side of the Valley and don't want to make to trip to Gilbert, the Surprise Aquatic Center is the perfect place to be on a 100+ degree day.
