| - As others have said, this place is VERY meh.
Back in September, I was waiting for my second bus to take me up to Sudbury at 1am. At 1:30, the bus still hadn't shown up but someone who was just getting off her shift came out and said that it will be by soon. Nearly two hours later, the bus finally arrives.
Meanwhile, there's 50 of us stranded outside wondering WTF is going on. There's NO wifi, so getting online to see if there's an accident on highway 69, or in the city wasn't going to happen. There were a few people still inside the bus terminal, but they were the cleaning crew.
Would it have killed them to let us inside to wait? Bring us sandwiches or something else to eat? Even turn on their pay as you use it wifi ? Give us feedback? Anything would have been nice, instead we were left in the dark.
I never thought I'd be stranded in downtown Toronto in the middle of the night, completely ridiculous.
The bus finally arrived at just after 3am, nearly two hours past it's scheduled arrival time. The excuse the driver gave us is he broke down. That's fine, but what's to stop Greyhound from sending another bus?
Which brings me to my next point. If you're going up to Sudbury via Greyhound, you WILL get an old bus, probably from the Pac-Man era, meanwhile, if you go from London to Toronto, or vice versa, it's almost always a nice modern bus.
My suggestion, if you're starting off in Toronto and going to Sudbury, jump on the Ontario Northland bus. It might cost a little more since they don't offer a web discount if you pay via credit card, but it's worth it in the end. Better buses, more leg room, outlets and wifi.
The one saving grace that keeps this place from getting a single star is the staff that work there, more often than not, they've been helpful.
Edit: It's been two years, and the down escalator is STILL broken. Why do they even bother?
