| - New Zealand Cafe is a treasure hidden in an old strip mall. The food is good and inexpensive -- a great combination, in my book. Sushi is one of those things I am always hesitant to order (although I usually enjoy it once I do), so I have yet to try any of NZC's offerings in that area. However, their bento-box esque dinners are delicious. For $6-10, depending on your selection, you get the main entree, two chicken skewers, two crab rangoons, rice, and a salad. It's hard to beat that value, especially when it tastes so good. I especially recommend the Fantasy Shrimp (with a unique, delicious fruity mayonnaise sauce) or the Crispy Scallops.
The only reason I New Zealand Cafe doesn't get 5 stars is because the inside is cramped, which means that the lines can be long and the dining crowded if you don't feel like take out.
