I have a 6 year old pitbull/boxer mix named Tyson. We rescued him from the pound when he was about 8 months old. He's a very sweet dog at home but to walk him and meet other people or dogs in the neighborhood was a nightmare. Plus, without any distractions at all he would pull constantly on the leash. I had no clue how to control him. I would walk him at midnight when I knew that we wouldn't meet anybody.
He also would bark at the hot air balloons in the early hours of the morning. I thought that there was no way in the world I could fix that but I mentioned it to Bob anyway.
I called Bob in March, 2015 to set up our four 1-hour lessons. The results are pretty amazing. Bob has the videos to show the dramatic results. During the training, we went to the dog park and Tyson sat by me while these 2 little dogs came up to him and started yapping away like crazy. Tyson totally ignored them! We also walked Tyson off leash and he happily stayed by my side. I thought for sure he would bolt and be lost but with the training techniques I learned from Bob, Tyson is a totally changed dog. He looks at me now and recognizes me as a leader.
There are times when Tyson barks such as when a person walks by our house (we live in a cul-de-sac with not much activity). All I have to do when he starts to bark is to check it out and then say "Quiet" if all is well. And he does.
And those hot air balloons? No longer a problem - he ignores them now.
I no longer take my dog out at midnight. I walk him at 6pm like most other people. I see other dog owners get frustrated because he/she can't control his dog as well as I can. I wonder why they just don't give a call to a trainer like I did? Walking my dog is an enjoyable exercise now.
I would highly recommend Bob. He is a fun and engaging person who delivers results. A job well done!!!
