I guess the answer to why they are paying $300-$500 if you open accounts is because they can't win customers on good service. Went in to open a new checking and savings on Saturday at 1:45, when they close at 2:00pm. I was advised I would need to come back because they are not taking any more new accounts today! Flabbergasted, I told them maybe, I'd check back another time or go to another bank! She offered me an appointment M-F normal business hours, which is precisely my work hours! Business must be good, or employees are managed poorly. No incentive for them to win customers? Evidently they don't care. Being off work by 2pm sharp is the priority... Being in business for ourselves, and valuing all of our current and potential customers, I would definitely have to set someone's priorities straight!
