  • Chain massage is the same as a chain restaurant. Do you like feeling like a number? Me either. How about getting a one-hour massage that's only 50 minutes? No thanks. I dabbled with Massage Envy (despite being told otherwise by friends) because it was close and convenient. Mistake, mistake, mistake. The entire feel is very plastic-spa... not a good thing. This combined with a lack of personal attention and a very routine (not good, nor bad) massage left me feeling cold. I'll not return.
