  • I recently needed my windshield replaced on my 15 year old Land Cruiser and called my insurance company for the repair and they suggested Safe-lite, another repair place. Safe-lite came out and told me that, because of a previous installation to my windshield that they thought was botched , they could not repair my windshield without body work being done to deal with a short cut that the previous installer had used. They assured me that they would follow up with photos and an description of what needed to be done so that I could get estimates. After repeated phone calls and un-kept promises from Safe-Lite, I gave up. At a loss on where to go next I checked Yelp and saw the positive reviews on Blue Chip. I spoke to their office, they apprised me of the potential issues and and possible costs ahead of time that might not be covered by insurance but were wiling to send a repair person out to look at my situation. To make a long story short they immediately identified the issues, assured me that they could repair it, got clearance from the insurance company, finished the work in half the time that they estimated and did not charge me for the extra work. What a positive experience. They also called a week later to make sure that I was satisfied with the work. I have had windshields replaced on all of my cars for over 45 years and this was my best experience. They will be my first call from now on when I need windshield work. Jim D.
