| - Malls are always teenager-magnets, and Upper Canada Mall is no different. As a teen in the 90s, I spent my time roaming Zellers ("a teenager could do a lot worse, Mom!") and buying sour candy at the bulk store. It felt dark and dingy, though maybe that was just the picture my former emo teen self remembers ("everything is dark, Mom!" *plays angsty music on Walkman*).
Flash forward to 2012 and I've grown up...and so has Upper Canada Mall. The new addition is bright, there is never an overwhelming number of people (this is especially impressive in the Apple Store), and the space has drawn a lot of new retailers:
BCBG, Coach, Aritzia, French Connection, Banana Republic, Sephora, Forever 21, Starbucks, and an open food court.
Yelp Note: fear not, there are still important remnants from the mall's past here: Kernel's popcorn.
