  • Wow is this zoo large! This is the biggest zoo I have ever been too, so much to see and do. Plan to be here for a good part if not all of the day. They have a great big parking lot to accommodate you. This zoo is especially neat because they offer a lower price for people who have food stamps/SNAP so that they can also enjoy coming to the zoo. It definitely can be pricey but everything they offer makes it worth it. Make sure to bring your little ones swim attire as they have a couple awesome splash pads/water areas that you easily could spend an hour letting your kids play. Also remember sun block and water because that Phoenix sun is brutal. They do provide a good amount of shade as well. Be prepared to walk a good while, wear some good shoes I did not and I very much so regretted it. You will see a plethora of birds, cats, zebras, giraffe. So many animals to see and so many hidden ares. Walking out over that bridge above the alligators was not my favorite way to view them but it also provides a different perspective. Everyone should visit the Phoenix zoo at least once!
