| - I can't speak for their macarons - actually, they don't look very good - but their cupcakes are some of the best in the city. They're made with a more Asian flair; consequently, they are not as cloyingly sweet as 97% of the cupcakes from other GTA bakeries. Their cupcakes are also all super moist and fluffy, and the frostings are just right - light and fluffy and, as I've mentioned, not too sweet.
Their taro cupcake is probably my favourite cupcake in the city. I could do without the mashed taro filling, but the flavour is wonderful. It's very taro-y, fragrant, and has a very creamy sort of taste. It's also a lovely pale purple colour.
Their raspberry chocolate is my second favourite. It's rich and cocoa-y but still just sweet enough, and it's filled with raspberry jam. They sometimes top it with raspberry buttercream and sometimes with ganache. It looks prettier with the pink buttercream but honestly, the ganache tastes better.
Their green tea is so-so because they use flavouring instead of only matcha powder (understandable because good matcha is super expensive). There's also a red bean filling - not my jam, but I know a lot of people like it.
The sesame cupcake is nice! Strong sesame flavour and it's quite good, especially with the sweet sesame filling. However, sometimes the sesame bits get stuck in my throat and make me cough - so I'd recommend keeping plenty of water on hand when eating this one.
The orange/earl grey cupcake was nice. Too orangey and not as bergamot-y - I'd prefer if it tasted more like the tea and less like oranges. But it's tasty.
Totally worth the trip for their cupcakes!
