Brought in two different Technics turntables for two different problems (against another persons' recommendations). One sounded like it needed a new needle and cartridge, it hadn't been changed for about 12 years. The other one was sluggish and couldn't fine adjust the speed to the strobe light. The guys seemed a bit overwhelmed, but, assured me they would have them looked at, and either be fixed or give me an estimate for any work needed. Their fee to drop equipment off is $25 each, I agreed and asked if that would include cleaning and a 'tune-up'. The reply was yes. A week and a half later, one of them called and said they were ready for pick-up. Both turntables were not cleaned and the paperwork stated they could not duplicate the problems. Once home, I hooked them up and.......neither one was any different than when I took them in. For less than $50, got a new needle for one and a belt for the other. Now they work fine?!?!?!?! Don't know what these guys are on, but, it isn't customer service.
