| - I have a lot to review about this hotel. My company has been doing Events here for the last 4 years. If I could review events and catering only, I would give An absolute hands down 5+++ stars! Amazing service and they go above and beyond to make sure your event runs smoothly.
Enrique, Carlos, Tony, and Jorge are some of the nicest people I've ever met, and they are genuine and they make sure the event staff is happy.
The hotel staff however is completely unorganized and they've had a "glitch in their system" the last few times we've had an event here. Every time something goes wrong, they blame a power outage or a software problem....Now let me tell you, our events are no small thing. We spend between $150,000 -$250,000 on these events and the hotel staff, while "nice" are completely lacking communication skills.
They dropped the ball in so many areas... booking, reservations, confirmations, check-Ins.... and much more.
If your company is considering hosting an event here, I would look elsewhere if you want to make your clients happy.
My room was clean, however, it was dated and had dirty carpet and peeling wallpaper. My heater was blowing cold air and maintenance couldn't fix it.
The "Club Lounge" was dirty and they never refreshed their breakfast or dinner: their staff was very nice and friendly, but I've never been in a club lounge that puts out breakfast at 6:30 am and that's all you get. When it runs out or runs cold, that's it. Also, There were obnoxious and loud people in the club and the staff did nothing to quiet them down.
The lobby bar has friendly staff.
Room service took 1 hour for lunch.
The Starbucks was quick and efficient.
Valet staff is very friendly and quick.
Sorry to leave 2 stars, but it's mainly for the hotel manager Nick. When something went wrong with my room, he totally threw another employee under the bus instead of taking action and fixing the situation. A good leader doesn't blame someone else for their shortcomings. He's also the same one to throw out the "our system has a glitch" or "the power went out so we messed up" type of jargon that satisfies no one but himself.
