  • Man, I just loved my dinner. I came by myself on a Monday evening and sat at the counter. I defaulted to a 3-course prix fixe menu and ordered a local beer to start. As the food was coming out, I chatted with the cooks, who were just the friendliest bunch. Though very busy, they engaged me in some small talk and I found this to be very personable. The wait staff was great also. From my waitress, I got the brief history of the building (the main concert hall in the first half of the 20th century that was saved from demolition by a group that turned it into a mixed performance + dining space). I recommend popping upstairs and checking out the bar and lounge that is used during the intermissions. If back in Calgary, I will make a point of coming back here.
