My mother and I visited the David's bridal Scarborough location tonight (weds, 11/25/2015) at around 7.30pm. When we walked in, we were immediately stopped by one of the staff members. She asked if we made an appointment and we said, no, we aren't aware that we had to make an appointment. We thought we could walk in and see if anyone can help us. She said the staff can't see us unless we make an appointment. I told her that unfortunately I don't have any openings to come another day because I am only in town until Saturday before I have to leave Canada to teach overseas again until January... She heard that and still seemed surprised that we even tried to check out the store. What an Incredibly rude attitude. As if we were dumb to not know their store policy. Hello! We are your customers. I said.... Ok can we walk around the store and browse? What was worse was then she said we can walk around the store but DO NOT touch anything! Are we 3 years old? My mom and I were speechless.
Mind you, the store was not packed or that busy, some of the staff were standing around the cashier chatting. My mom and I browsed for 30mins, saw some decent dresses but no one even tried to give us any help. Really strange and unmotivated sales people. An incredibly bad first impression. We could have found my perfect dress tonight. The 'welcoming' staff member should hear herself.
