Had someone come out to my rental property to replace the washing machine water valves. Asked the lady on the phone two times if there was a fee for coming out for an estimate since they don't give them over the phone and was told no. He comes out and tells the tenant it's not the valve but the drain hose wasn't seated right. He put a new 10$ longer drain piece in there and I was charged 125 as a service fee. The lesson to take away from this is to make sure you know what the problem is or you will be swindled out of money for a service fee. 65 would be reasonable but 125?
