  • OMG. Steak heaven courtesy of Wolfgang Puck. Waited at the bar to be seated even though our group had a reservation. After a couple drinks I started to get impatient due to my hunger and slight drunken state. So to prevent myself from saying or doing anything stupid I didn't talk. Our fine hostess who reminded me of Lisa Loeb brought us to our table which was smack right in the front. Sucky location if you tell me. So our waitress gave a presentation/quick tutorial on the different steaks available. (NOTE: If your willing to splurge, get the Wagyu beef.) So they have Illinois dry aged. Then Nebraska raised beef also aged. Up one level to American Kobe beef, and the ultimate, Japanese Wagyu beef. You can clearly see the uniform marbling of the meat and fat. (Fat is important, which gives the beef the taste) I've only had Kobe once, and not here but to describe the taste is like eating butter and melting in your mouth) For starters, we had a selection of various breads and cheese puffs. Which were to die for. As for my order, I had the Illinois, BONE-IN rib-eye medium rare, with a side of creamed spinach. MY friends ordered the eggplant gratin, corn, mashed potatoes and vegetable mix with morels. The food was off the hook! I've been to many steak houses and this is definitely amongst the best I've ever had.
